Komodo National Park has been on our travel bucket list for ages. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that comprise Indonesia and it’s the only place in the world to have the deadly predator Komodo Dragons on land. 🦎🇮🇩

We had to take a plane and boat to get to the Komodo National Park but it’s completely worth it once you are there 🇮🇩🦎🙏

It’s hard to escape the pink ribbons in October and personally I reflect on the immeasurable gratitude I feel to still be here

Were it not for my annual mammogram, my cancer may not have been detected in time, and my prognosis could have looked quite different. My recurrence rate odds are stacked more favorably each year that passes.

This is my annual reminder for you and your loved ones:
💕
Please do your self checks weekly. Listen to your body, get to know your body...if something doesn't feel right get it checked. If something doesn't look right - get it checked.
💕
Please Please Please do not blow off your annual Dr. visits. And I mean all of them.
💕
Please get your regular mammogram. I ran 6 miles on the day I was diagnosed... I felt healthy and strong, yet cancer cells were chomping through my body.
💕
Early detection really does save lives. If my cancer were detected later, my prognosis would look very different and I may not be around to share my story. I share to create awareness with the hopes that people understand the importance of their preventative care and decide to take steps to prioritize that.
