Tibet

Travel to Tibet comes with a bit more planning than most places. You can’t go independently, so you’ll need a tour and permits arranged ahead of time. Most trips start in Lhasa, where everything feels slower and more remote, with monasteries and mountain scenery all around. Altitude is a major factor.

If you’re planning a trip to Tibet, expect a more guided experience and take the time to adjust properly.
